TIPS ON CRAWLER CARE AND USE!!!

  • Crawlers will keep for months in a refrigerator by feeding them coffee grounds, corn meal (no salt added) and flour.

  • If you have a container that is open, rim the top edge with salt and they will not crawl out.

  • Use bedding whenever possible this will keep your crawlers in better shape and also your boat!!

  • Soaking crawlers in ice water will plump them up and harden them for a super harness bait, and again will keep your boat cleaner. They will keep this way for around 8 to 10 hrs. while on the boat and can be put back into bedding if removed from the water before 10 hrs.

     -When cleaning your boat chrome use white toothpaste to scrub off oxidation or other stains.

     -Go to the jewelry store in your town and ask for the little polishing cloths most hand out for free. These work great for shining up your spinner blades.

     -When fishing in areas where zebra mussels are present, use Berkley Fireline as your leader to stop the fraying in front of your lure. If it is really bad go to fine wire leaders.
